The Donkey Crew team originally planned to release the product in December 2023 but had to push back the development schedule until early 2024. The town-building survival role-playing game Bellwright, developed by Donkey Crew and published by Snail Games USA, is currently playable on Steam Early Access. The Bellwright price of the Early Access version is USD 29.99. It should be fully available in three years.

The setting for Bellwright’s story is the medieval realm of Karvenia. Players take on the character of a man who has been found guilty of killing the prince and is facing the death penalty. After managing to elude his execution, he joins a rebellion against the despotic queen who issued his death sentence and caused his people’s misery.

Bellwright Gameplay and Mechanics

Strategic planning and resource management are critical components of the survival role-playing game that players participate in. It’s stunning, enhancing the detail of each building and NPC as you approach them. However, this world has more to offer than just the gloomy bogs. Although your primary objective is to establish a settlement initially, your ultimate mission is to revolt against the authorities in charge of this territory.
