Hey everyone, it’s me again, and today, we’re gonna talk about Skyrim. Specifically, the topic of Pokemon mods. Some noteworthy mods don’t seem to work on the latest version of Skyrim, so I just used what was available. Since our last Skyrim modding video, I’ve added a significant number of additional mods. Right now, I have over 200+, and the list keeps growing. I quite enjoy checking out some of the more peculiar mods. In the Skyrim modding scene, no idea is too outlandish, which is why something as cursed as this Skeever Pikachu exists. Over 100,000 mods and almost 3.5 billion unique downloads have been made for Bethesda’s Skyrim on Nexusmods.

Even though many other video games, such as Grand Theft Auto and Minecraft, are extensively modded with large communities regularly posting all kinds of mods, none match the sheer size and ongoing expansion of the modding community for Skyrim.

Given the larger player base of Minecraft, GTA and other games, this observation is really intriguing and worth sharing, in my opinion.

Indeed, the name Skyrim has become synonymous with the modding community, and these wacky Pokemon mods celebrate this!

Most Pokemon mods are rather old, and I’ve seen a surprising lack of people covering them. That’s why I’m excited to present the awesome mods featured in this video! Now, let’s start our Pokemon journey, shall we? As you know, every adventure begins at home. Hey Mom, it’s nice to see you. Where’s Dad? Probably shouldn’t ask that question. Of course, we get to start with trainer clothes and a Poke Shield.

Now, alll I need is a Pokemon, and I can become the very best that no one ever was. Pikachu, I choose you! This is a fully voiced follower with its own unique moveset. This Pikachu follower mod is honestly amazing. It looks like Pikachu and even fights like him. Moreover, the Pikachu follower even comes with iconic “Pika” noises and Ash voice lines. A delightful mod for Pokemon fans, to be sure. He’s kind of overpowered and apparently scales with your level. As an essential follower, Pikachu also cannot be killed. I really enjoy adventuring Skyrim with Pikachu and I can honestly say this is one of the better joke mods I have experienced for myself.

I also installed a texture mod, which makes various creatures in Skyrim resemble Pokemon. In this Skyrim, Charizards soar the skies, Mightyena prowl the land and Ratata infest the unassuming but treacherous caverns and sewers. You know, this is more than just a texture mod. It actually adds new locations, your house, Cerulean Cave, Team Rocket Hideout, and Sky Pillar.

Disappointingly, some of the textures are outdated for the current Skyrim, a prominent example being the hilarious Khajit Mewtwo found in Cerulean Cave. On my first time encountering this guy, I was one shot, so it’s clear that the modder designed him with Mewtwo’s exalted legendary status in mind. The Charizard conjuration spell works surprisingly well, summoning a dragon that follows you around outdoors. But my absolute favorite is the Skeever Pikachu spell. It’s a hilarious and much appreciated rendition of Pikachu, after all. Even though I already possess a rather authentic Pikachu follower, you can’t deny the sheer brilliance of a Skeever Pikachu. This alone makes the mod a 10/10 in my books.

Lastly, I installed a TM mod that allows the Dragonborn to use Pokemon moves himself. These are, in essence, Pokemon-themed destruction spells that are pretty well designed. You can purchase these spell books as TMs in the Pokemart, found near Whiterun. Some are well balanced, providing an engaging number of new ways to destroy bandits, or Nazeem if you can’t help it. In particular, Earthquake and Eruption are pretty cool in that they provide you with a large aoe spell with a manageable cast time. Just beware of the Surf spell, which is ridiculously overpowered, even though it’s only an adept-level spell. Seriously, this thing has a stupidly large aoe, does high damage, has no cast time, and for whatever reason, TREMENDOUS range.

I can’t tell you how many times I unintentionally hit friendly NPCs with this spell. Use it with destruction cost down enchantments on your Pokemon-themed play-through if you truly want to dominate the province. Skyrim belongs to the nords? Not anymore! From here on, the Fourth Era will be dominated by Pokemon!

Unfortunately, there were some noteworthy mods I couldn’t get to work on my current Skyrim build, such as Pokemon V1 and the popular Tame the Beasts of Skyrim 2. If you’re playing on a downgraded build, then I highly recommend trying these other mods for yourself. If you like the mods featured in this video, be sure to check out the description for the Nexus Mod links, and don’t forget to support the creators!

Well, this was a rather short guide, and most of the work was put into making the darn thing work. I’m still a novice in the Skyrim modding scene, but I’m quite excited to share more mods with you all. Thanks for watching, everyone! Do let us know what other mods you’d like to see in the comment section below. In the future, we’ll cover other popular games modding aficionados enjoy, such as Elden Ring, GTA, and the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Elevate your gaming escapades without putting a strain on your wallet.
